Summer is finally here and the 3 Media Web team couldn’t be happier. Our gardens are thriving, the sun is shining, and our summer schedule is in full effect. We’re working harder than ever, but we’re still putting some time aside to spend a few days with family and friends, or just to relax.
Some of our team already have a few full weekends on their calendars, going to concerts, playing in a few concerts themselves, or catching up on the local theater. Many are talking about their plans to hit the beach, beautiful lakes in the North Woods, and more.
Take a look at some of our summer plans to get some ideas for yourself, or to learn how to create a healthy work/life balance during the summer months.
The 3 Media Web Summer Schedule
On Fridays from 5/27 to 9/2, we close at 1pm to enjoy a little sunshine and family time. We will also be closed from 7/4 to 7/8 for the July 4 holiday.
If you have an emergency, please email [email protected] and add the word URGENT to the subject line or call +1 (508) 845-8900, ext 1, stating your issue is urgent. Thank you!
Some of Our Summer Plans
Leadership Team
Starting the college tour process for my son.
–Jessica Hennessey, Chief Executive Officer
I have a few fun activities planned this summer. One of them is a celebration of my brother and sister-in-law’s 60th birthdays (yup, we’re ‘that’ old). My hubby, our other siblings and I are taking them away to Lenox MA for a few nights and we’ll be seeing the James Taylor concert on July 4th at Tanglewood (in Lenox).
–Sara Spector-Brown, Director of Employee Success
Sales & Marketing Team
My plans for the summer include:
1) Performing with Played Out & Good Day Sir all across the Commonwealth. Dates include:
- Fri Jun 24 @ East Bay Grille in Plymouth
- Sat Jul 9 @ The Cove in Fall River
- Fri Jul 15 @ East Bay Grille in Plymouth
- Sat Jul 23 @ Patriots Place in Foxboro
- Sat Aug 13 @ Patriots Place in Foxboro
- Fri Sept 2 @ East Bay Grille in Plymouth
2) Catching some concerts for Elton John, Flogging Molly/The Interrupters, a “Lost 80s Festival” featuring Flock Of Seagulls, Santana/Earth, Wind & Fire, and probably Sublime/Incubus…maybe a few more.
3) Catching some WooSox games, maybe a Revs game.
4) Trips to the beach, maybe hit up Water Wizz, hang with some friends and family.
–Sean Greene, Director of Sales
I’m hitting a few concerts this year for bands like Senses Fail, mewithoutYou, Red Hot Chili Peppers, and CHVRCHES, definitely hitting the beach and my friend’s pool as often as I can, and plenty of time on the water, kayak fly fishing. Most importantly, though, I’ll be spending as much time as possible with my daughter, Grace, and my wife Jennie, who is a teacher and has summers off.
–Ben Duchesney, Digital Strategist
Tech Services Team
Every summer I go to Carrabassett Valley (Sugarloaf Mountain) & Embed Pond in Maine.
Here’s a collage of past trips, including my breakfast at the local spot The Woodsman in Kingfield Maine.
–Mike St. Jean, Tech Services Manager
One of the things I do every summer is that I attend performances at the Great River Shakespeare Festival! This year’s performances include Twelfth Night, The African Company Presents Richard the III, All the Town’s a Stage: A Winona Story, Always… Patsy Cline, and their epic fund-raising event Callithump! I see each play at least once.
Last year all of their performances were outdoors because of COVID. I attended one of their plays 3 times, one performance was even in the rain. I’m a hard-core live theater fan.
–Ginny Copeman, Digital Experience Support Coordinator
Project & Account Management Team
I’ll be heading off to Mexico for the July shutdown to go to this all-inclusive resort called caret.
It’s sort of a late honeymoon for myself and my husband John. We’re going to be meeting up with our best man and his family there as well.
–Sarah Surprenant, Designer / Jr. Project Manager/i>
I’m heading home to Illinois over the July shutdown––lots of cornfields haha. Also attending some car shows throughout the summer.
–Jenny Mills (Dubinsky), Account Manager
Summer is All About Work/Life Balance
Just because the sun is shining, that doesn’t mean that the 3 Media Web team starts to take it easy. The truth is, the summer months are still as busy as ever. The internet doesn’t slow down just because it’s nice and warm outside. Sometimes it’s the opposite.
Still, our teams are carving out some time on their busy calendars to spend time with friends and family, or by themselves, heading to the beach, or to concert venues far and wide. How are you spending these next few summer months? Busy working, busy relaxing, or somewhere in between?
