The Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts (AIVA) announced the winners of their 15th Annual Davey Awards, honoring 3 Media Web with three Silver prizes. The largest and most prestigious competition for outstanding creative work from the best “small shops” worldwide, AIVA receives nearly 3,000 entries from across the US and around the world each year.
Why Are They Called Davey Awards?
The Davey Awards derives its name from David, the mythological figure who defeated the giant Goliath with a big idea and a little rock … what the International Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts says small agencies do every day. These creative “Davids” obtain their strength from big ideas, rather than stratospheric budgets.
Three Silvers in Year 3
3 Media Web has been recognized for its excellence for the third year with three Silver Davey Awards for website development for American Superconductor (AMSC), The Calculation Bar, and Covectra.
American Superconductor
AMSC generates technologies that meet the world’s demand for smarter, cleaner, better energy. Their solutions power gigawatts of renewable energy globally and enhance the reliability of power networks in more than a dozen countries. 3 Media Web designed a dramatic website overhaul for AMSC that expresses the dynamism of the company’s awesome products and services. The website connects to the reader emotionally when explaining how energy moves and is delivered to individuals and entities, like the US Navy.
“We’re pleasantly surprised by how much web traffic the site receives. The redesign increased user engagement by 300%.”

Financial Management with a Difference
The Calculation Bar is a consulting company that builds financial management tools to highlight their clients’ achievements and help them to manage their businesses. This start-up company is named to exemplify their corporate vision … their number one goal for their logo and website was to create a visual image and message that demonstrates that they are different from any other company in its field. The client wanted 3 Media Web to portray a comfortable space where prospects and clients can feel secure to share their aspirations for their businesses. This is the stepping-stone to building the type of relationship where trust is the foundation. 3 Media Web created a company logo that depicts a stylish martini glass, modern and elegant typeface, and a setting of a neighborhood “watering hole” to set the stage for the messaging.
“Users love the site’s design and say it flows extremely well.”

Serialization Leader Expands from Pharma
The third Silver Davey was awarded to 3 Media Web for Covectra, a leader in serialization-based solutions for track and trace to combat drug abuse, product diversion, and drug counterfeiting. Serialization is the application of serial numbers onto the packages of a product in the form of a barcode or data matrix or a human-readable alphanumeric. The company has grown and expanded its services from pharmaceutical companies into food and beverage, tobacco, luxury goods, fashion, and electronics for global brand owners in eight countries and four continents. 3 Media Web created a new website for Covectra that includes best-practices marketing strategies and brand building that attracts larger clients with a polished, professional image.
Founder and CEO of 3 Media Web, Marc Avila, stated, “We are proud and honored to share our 2019 Davey Awards with our clients. We are pleased to have collaborated with AMSC, The Calculation Bar, and Covectra to deliver cutting-edge technology and creativity that contributes to their continued success. Being recognized by the prestigious AIVA for the third year is a huge distinction that corroborates the talents of each member of our 3 Media Web team.”
“So far, we’ve gotten positive results and are looking to work with 3 Media Web again moving forward. We hope to get more digital marketing support for the backend.”
